Overview
The KPI Module is your central hub for creating, editing, and deleting KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). It streamlines the process of tracking KPIs to measure the impact of your Goals.
Navigate to the KPI Dashboard
Organization KPIs
To manage KPIs for the organization:
- Navigate to the Organization Page.
- Click on the KPI tab.
Team KPIs
To manage KPIs for individual teams:
- Navigate to the respective Team Page.
- Click on the KPI tab.
Permissions
- Organization KPIs: only Admins and Program Leads can add or manage organization KPIs.
- Team KPIs: only Team Leads, Team Members, and Team Coaches can add or manage the KPIs of their team.
Add a KPI
To add a new KPI, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the KPI Dashboard
- Click on the large "Add KPI" button.
- Enter a title, description, and select the type of KPI. There are three types:
- Numerical: Any standard number, e.g. NPS.
- Percentile: A percentage, e.g. conversion rate.
- Monetary: Currency-based values such as EUR or USD.
- Once created, the KPI will appear as a new card in the dashboard, displaying its type, name, current value, target, and whether it is supported by goals for the selected cycle.
View and Update KPI Details
Each KPI card in the dashboard provides detailed information. Click the three dots on the KPI card to update, edit or delete the KPI.
Clicking on a card opens a side panel with more details, where you can:
- Update the KPI's progress by clicking the "Update Progress" button at the top.
- Edit the KPI's details by clicking the pencil icon
- View charts showing the KPI's progress, targets, and forecasts.
Updating KPI Progress
To update the progress of a KPI:
- Click on the KPI card you want to update. This will open a side panel with more details.
- At the top of the side panel, click on "Update Progress". This will launch a new modal.
- In the modal, you can:
- Select the status of the KPI: On Track, At Risk, Off Track, or No Status. The status indicates the current state of the KPI:
- On Track: The KPI is progressing as expected.
- At Risk: There is a foreseeable risk that the KPI might not meet its targets.
- Off Track: The KPI is not performing well and is unlikely to meet its targets.
- No Status: This option hides the status indicator.
- Enter the new value for the KPI.
- Select the date for the update. This is useful if you want to backdate an update, such as for the end of the previous month.
- Select the status of the KPI: On Track, At Risk, Off Track, or No Status. The status indicates the current state of the KPI:
- Click "Save" to apply the changes.
After updating, the KPI card on the dashboard will reflect the new status and value. You can also view charts showing the KPI's progress over time, including targets and forecasts.
Manage KPI Targets and Forecasts
To manage targets and forecasts for a KPI:
- Scroll down to the targets section and click "Edit Targets".
- Define whether the KPI should be above or below the target.
- Add target values for specific dates.
- Similarly, add forecast values to provide an anticipated development of the KPI.
Link Goals to KPIs
To link a goal to a KPI:
- Open the Drafting Module for a team or the organization.
- Select a goal and open the side panel.
- Click the tab "Linked Items" and then "Manage KPIs".
- Search for the desired KPI by team, organizational unit, or title, select it, and click "Save".
- The KPI will now show the linked goal, its progress, and the responsible team.
Edit and Delete KPIs
- Edit: Click the pencil icon on the KPI card or the three dots and select "Edit KPI details". You can change the title, description, type, and currency if it's a monetary KPI. Save your changes.
- Delete: Click the three dots on the KPI card and select "Delete KPI".
