The Notes feature in Workpath provides an efficient way for teams to document, discuss, and collaborate on essential details related to KPIs, OKRs, and strategic initiatives.
Why Use Notes?
Notes offer a unified and flexible way to document updates, decisions, risks, and more. Here’s why they’re valuable:
-
Centralized Documentation: Notes provide a consistent place to record key information across teams, ensuring that all relevant data is easy to find and reference in one central location.
-
Enhanced Collaboration: With comment threads, @ mentions, and privacy options, Notes help teams discuss and resolve issues directly within the platform.
-
Clear Visibility: Public and private Notes options allow teams to control visibility, balancing accessibility with confidentiality.
-
Reporting: Notes can be included in reports, respecting visibility settings, to ensure informed decision-making processes.

FAQs & Troubleshooting
What happened to the old “Talking Points” and “Posts” features?
Talking Points and Posts have been consolidated under the new Notes feature:
-
Talking Points: These were used for capturing insights during Conversations but were limited to that context. All previous Talking Points are now converted into Notes, preserving all past information and making it available in a more robust format.
-
Posts: Previously used in the Goal Room’s Activity Feed, Posts and their comment threads are now accessible as Notes. This consolidates updates and discussions in one place, making it easier to follow progress and review past insights.
What's the difference between Notes and Talking Points?
-
Once added, each Note will remain visible until resolved, appearing in future Conversations. In contrast, Talking Points were only visible during the event they were added to, unless they were marked as risks or blockers.
-
Notes have a description, comment threads, and support for mentions.
-
Notes are visible outside of Conversations if their visibility is set to public.
Can I make a Note private after creating it?
Yes, privacy can be set after the creation of the Note. For sensitive content, be sure to select the private option initially.
How do I resolve a Note?
Navigate to the Goal Room, open the Note drawer, and select the "Resolve" option to mark a Note as complete. Resolved Notes are accessible in a separate section for reference.
Will I be notified if I’m mentioned in a Note or comment?
Yes, mentions trigger email notifications, including a direct link to the Note for quick responses.
Can I tag multiple users in a Note or comment?
Yes, you can mention multiple users within the same Note or comment, notifying all relevant stakeholders.
Is there a way to see all my mentions across Workpath?
Currently, notifications are sent for individual mentions. Future updates will include a central view of all mentions.
Where can I use mentions?
Mentions work within the comment thread of a Note and the description of a Note, but not in the title.
