💡 What the Companion Can Do
Manage your OKR data through conversation. Create and update Goals, Key Results, Initiatives, KPIs, Notes, and Strategic Elements (risks, dependencies, assumptions, opportunities) without leaving the chat. Add progress updates, change confidence levels, link initiatives to goals, mention colleagues in notes — all by asking.
Plan and draft with AI assistance. Ask for goal suggestions tailored to your team and cycle, get quality feedback on your OKR wording, or discover which teams you should align with. The Companion guides you from a blank slate to a structured, well-written goal set.
Prepare for check-ins and leadership reviews. Pull up upcoming check-in events with attendees and agendas, scan all teams' progress, identify at-risk goals across business units, and generate leadership-ready summaries — in a single conversation.
Upload documents and export reports. Attach files (.pdf, .xlsx, .pptx, .csv, .docx) to enrich the conversation with your own data. When you're done, export any analysis or summary as a PDF or Excel file ready to share.
Save and reuse your workflows. Save any prompt as a personal conversation starter. Your starters appear on the home screen so you can launch your favourite workflows with one click.
Ask anything about Workpath or OKRs. The Companion draws from the Workpath help center and OKR best practice knowledge to answer product and methodology questions, with source links where relevant.
Custom Terminology. If your organization uses different names for OKR entities (e.g. Outcomes instead of Goals, Measures instead of Key Results), the Companion adapts automatically — including suggested next actions and conversation starters.

- Iterate before saving: Refine a workflow through conversation, then save it as a starter once you're happy with the output.
- Ask follow-up questions for clarity or deeper detail — the Companion tracks conversation context.
- Combine with other AI features: Goal Drafting, Quality Feedback, and Alignment Suggestions work alongside the Companion for end-to-end support.
- Use suggested next actions: After each response, the Companion offers 2–4 contextual action buttons based on what you just did — a quick way to keep momentum without having to think about what to ask next.
