To get started, here's a quick guide on the benefits and how-tos of alignment in Workpath:
ℹ️ Goals can be aligned by Admins, Coaches, Goal Owners and Goal Stakeholders.
How to align a Goal:
- Navigate to the Goal Room and the alignment section on the right
- Click on the pencil icon
- Search for a higher-level or organizational OKR that your OKR is contributing to
- Click on the green Align button for either the Objective or for one of the Key Results
💡 Note that you should always try to align Objectives to Key Results, and not directly to other Objectives. This way the contribution is more measurable and is automatically linked to the overlying Objective. - Click on “X” in the upper right corner
The new alignment is automatically saved and is now displayed in the alignment section in the Goal Room. There you can see which higher Key Results and Objectives the current OKR pays in to as well as other Goals that support the same OKR. Additionally, you can see the OKRs which contribute to the current Goal that you are looking at.

Alignment Nudges
In order to provide reliable information on how well OKRs are aligned vertically (top-down and bottom-up), a nudge is displayed if a Goal isn't yet aligned to any other OKR.
