What is the MS Planner integration?
The Workpath MS Planner integration allows you to import your tasks from MS Planner to Workpath and keep them synced. This integration is available for all customers, either included or as add-on depending on your Workpath plan.
Who is the MS Planner integration for?
If you or your team works a lot with MS Planner and keep your tasks there then the Workpath MS Planner integration is a must for you. All users are able to use the MS Planner integration, irrespective of their role in Workpath.
How does the MS Planner integration help you?
The Workpath MS Planner integration removes the double work needed to add tasks that you already have in MS Planner to Workpath. You simply import your tasks to Workpath and can continue working with them in MS Planner, as you make progress with the tasks, that progress will be reflected in Workpath as well.
How to use the MS Planner integration?
Providing permissions
Before you can use the integration, you must allow Workpath access to MS Planner. When you click on the "Sign in" button, you will be shown a popup window that takes you through the Microsoft authorisation process.
Please go through the whole process to provide all the permissions needed for the integration to work.
Linking tasks
Once you've provided all the permission, you can start linking your MS Planner tasks to Workpath.
Go to the Goal Room by clicking on any goal, scroll down to the Initiatives section (depending on your org's settings, it might be called something else). Click on Link tasks in the MS Planner banner:
In the next screen, select the MS Planner board that you would like to import the tasks from and then you'll see all the open tasks from that board.
Click on any task to select it for linking. You can select multiple tasks to link them all to the OKR.
You can also search for your tasks using the search bar.
Once you're ready, just click on Link to add these tasks as initiatives in the OKR.
