Checklist Items
By default, the Drafting Checklist consists of 3 steps:
1. Add Goals
First and foremost, the Drafting evolves around creating a set of Goals. In order to remain focused and plan realistically, we recommend to reflect with your team on how much time and capacity you'll have to work on OKRs in the upcoming cycle. Most teams usually end up with 2-5 OKRs, also depending on the size of their team.
How to accomplish this checklist item: add at least one Goal.
2. Define Customer, Value, and Future State for each Goal
For each Goal, we recommend to discuss and align within your team on the three key building blocks of each Goal and tag them, e.g. with the “Goal Assistant”. This helps you set Goals which are customer-centric and outcome-oriented.
For more details on how to go about this, see: Create, Edit and Delete Goals and the Goal Assistant (incl. Customer, Value, Future State)
How to accomplish this checklist item: for each Goal you created, tag Customer, Value, and Future State. By clicking on "Highlight", the respective Goals that are missing tags are highlighted.
3. Identify Promises and derive Key Results for each Goal
For each Key Result, we recommend to link it to a so-called "Promise" within its Goal's title. Promises are benefits for the customer, and naming them in the Goal's title helps you refine your Goal and communicate your strategy to others.
For more details on how to go about this, see: Create, Edit and Delete Key Results and the Key Result Assistant (incl. Promises)
How to accomplish this checklist item: for each Key Result you created, link its corresponding Promise. By clicking on "Highlight", the respective Key Results that aren't linked yet will be highlighted.
